Personal data protection
Please note that any personal data provided will be incorporated into a file under the responsibility of the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (hereinafter EARSC), whose purpose is to register users for management and control of access to web site content. Similarly, please note that the IP addresses used for access may be registered for the sole purpose of performing aggregate statistics, server diagnoses and troubleshooting and access logs.
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition of such data in accordance with Clauses 12 and 14 of Directive 95/46/EC, by writing to the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies, 26, Rue Beranger, 1190, Brussels, Belgium, stating the reference “Data Protection”. The letter should be signed for this purpose and you should enclose a photocopy of your national ID card or equivalent identification document.
For access to certain content and/or services, EARSC may require you to send a registration form. The user, in such case, should provide the information requested. In relation to the registration process, users undertake to:

Users are responsible, in all cases, for the veracity of the data provided, while the EARSC reserves the right to exclude any user who has provided false information from the registered services, without prejudice to other actions stipulated by law.
By filling in the relevant form, you expressly authorise EARSC to share this information with other companies and public entities participating in the project for the same purposes as mentioned above. EARSC shall not share or send the data stored in its databases to other companies or entities other than those mentioned above or for any purpose other than those expressed above.
In this respect, EARSC has developed an API (Application Programming Interface) which will allow users to include information from the eopages database into their own databases. EARSC will only give such a permission to organisations which share the objective to promote the EO services industry and the use of its products and services. You will be informed each time such permission is given.
Users are hereby informed and unequivocally consent to the fact that EARSC has subcontracted Heroku, Inc., 321. 11th Street, San Francisco, California, for the external hosting application for servers used for data processing, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), a signatory of the Safe Harbor protocol, and the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for the servers hosting the above-mentioned data. In both cases EARSC declares they have signed the relevant contract entrusting data handling in the terms of clause 17 of European Parliament and Council Directive 95/46/EC, dated 24 October 1995.
This web site and the content, services and elements integrated therein are owned or controlled by EARSC and are protected, without any limitations, by the European Union laws of intellectual and industrial property, in particular European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/48/EC, dated 29 April 2004, concerning measures and procedures to ensure respect for intellectual property rights, and any other international treaties and agreements that may be applicable. To this end, all the information, activities, products and own or third-parties miscellaneous services offered through the web site are considered as content.
EARSC is the exclusive owner of all intellectual, industrial and similar property rights that may apply to the web site. All rights over any content, services or other elements incorporated into the web site are reserved in favour of the EARSC or any of the companies and public entities participating in the project, including, but not limited to:
- Those elements that make up the visual appearance, graphic images and other sensory stimuli of web pages making up the web site.
- The browsing architecture.
- The web page source codes.
- Computer programmes.
- Distinctive signs
All this, taken together, is referred to as the “Property”. The use of all intellectual and industrial property elements for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden, as is the distribution, modification, alteration or decompilation thereof.
The infringement of any of these rights may constitute a violation of these provisions and the national provisions of member states relating to criminal procedures or penalties applicable to infringements of intellectual property rights.
